JM & Drew knew early in their relationship that they were in love. Drew promised JM that their love was one oriented towards marriage and that he would propose as soon as he could. 5 months after their first date and 6 months after they met, he proposed at Crystal Cove Beach and she said “YES!!”. Their engagement was short, sweet, and intentional.
The day started with getting ready photos at the Costa Mesa Marriott, and Monique Santos did a stunning job on JM’s hair and makeup! The ceremony took place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, CA, which is the bride’s parish. JM & Drew prayed together sight unseen beforehand, and it was so sweet to witness their excitement and love for each other in that moment! During their ceremony Mass, they participated in the El Lasso tradition (you can read about that tradition here) and brought flowers to Mary and to St. Joseph during their ceremony. I still can’t get over how beautiful JM’s wedding veil was!
Their intimate wedding of about 60 people was the perfect size for the Rancho Cucamonga backyard reception. The groom’s parents’ have a gorgeous backyard, situated in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, overlooking a beautiful view of the city. The theme for the reception was Italian Summer, with sage, pops of champagne accents, warm neutrals, and lots of eucalyptus sourced from the backyard!
Here’s To Them Events pulled everything off without a hitch, and did a fantastic job bringing it all together. Some of my favorite moments from the night were the appearance by the groom’s pet tortoise, the piñata on the dance floor, and the fireshow before the sparkler exit, put on by one of the groomsmen. All in all a beautiful night with fabulous people. Cheers to the Mullins!
