This evening Buckhead engagement session was gorgeous! Ángel and Reesa are a sweet couple, and it was immediately obvious to me how deeply they care for each other.
Ángel and Reesa met on a blind double date, thanks to one of their mutual friends. The double date went so well that they went on a second date, and Reesa knew Ángel was the one! He proposed to her at the prayer garden at St. Michael the Archangel, to which Reesa joyfully said yes. I asked both of them to tell me in a sentence what their relationship means to them, and Ángel wrote that, “it means a life of commitment—a life full of love, happiness, and ultimately guiding each other and our future children to heaven.” So sweet!
The Cathedral of Christ the King in Buckhead made a beautiful backdrop for our engagement session, and was a special location to the two of them. I’m very familiar with the location, and often shoot weddings here. I don’t often shoot here in the evening, so it was fun to see how beautiful the evening light and setting sun was. Also, isn’t Reesa’s emerald engagement ring just gorgeous?? One of their session outfits was traditional Filipino wear from the Philippines, characterized by intricate embroidery, crafted from pineapple fiber, a native material. I love when couples incorporate personal and cultural details into their sessions!
