St. Benedict & Taylor Lodge Duluth Wedding

St. Benedict wedding bride and groom under veil

Molly & Andrew’s wedding was held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Duluth. They had their reception at the on property event space, Taylor Lodge. It was a beautiful fall day, with crisp air and bright sunshine. When couples book Taylor Lodge for their reception, it makes the logistics of getting down to the reception so easy too!

Andrew and Molly met playing ultimate frisbee through a Catholic young adult group, where a funny name mix-up broke the ice. They soon teamed up for a field day at the Cathedral of Christ the King and secretly started dating. Between Molly’s doctorate studies and Andrew’s work, they cherished every moment together. They spent their free time hiking, dancing, and playing pickleball. On August 25, 2024, Andrew proposed under a canopy of trees at Gibbs Garden.

Molly had her sisters and mom help her get ready down at Taylor Lodge. They are the sweetest family, they were all so tearfully excited for Molly and kept reminding her how much they love her. The green color she chose for her wedding day is one of my favorites and so flattering on everyone. Molly and Andrew chose to read each other letters before the Mass and pray together without seeing each other. Molly even gave Andrew a detailed list of “the tab”, an inside joke that started early in their relationship. Their St. Benedict Catholic wedding Mass was beautiful, featuring some lovely singing by a cousin.

After some family photos, we cruised through wedding party photos and some portraits with the bride and groom. The fall leaves in the background were so pretty! Their cocktail hour featured personalized corn-hole boards, a frisbee with their names on it, and a beautiful charcuterie spread. Their videographer, A&E Films, set up a video guestbook, which was an awesome idea! I also appreciated their physical guestbook – a puzzle featuring one of the engagement photos I took.

Their reception was a blast, with lots of dance floor time. We opened the dance floor with a group photo, which is always a fun way to get your guests up and on the floor. After a private last dance, Molly and Andrew exited into the night as their guests waved ribbon wands.

So much love for you, Molly and Andrew!! Congratulations on your marriage!
