Kelly and Sebastian met in 2019 while both interning at Southwest Airlines in Dallas, quickly becoming close friends and starting a long-distance relationship after a visit to Lover’s Leap in Waco, TX. After 3.5 years of long-distance, they were finally able to close the gap when Kelly moved to Atlanta for remote work. During a trip to Texas for an A&M football game, Sebastian proposed at the same park where they first decided to date.
They tied the knot at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta and had their reception at the beautiful 173 Carlyle House in Norcross. The weather forecast could not have been more perfect, with its crisp fall temperatures and beautiful sunny skies. I love shooting weddings at the Cathedral, so I was excited to close out the fall season with this one!
Kelly and Sebastian have a lot of natural chemistry, with a feeling of peace and easiness underlining their relationship. I shot their rehearsal dinner too, which prepared me for how awesome their wedding day was! We started the day at CTK with a wedding Mass, family photos, and some portraits around the campus. I know many dread the “Catholic gap”, but I love it as a wedding photographer! It makes for plenty of time to get portraits with family, your wedding party, and spend time with your new spouse without feeling rushed. Kelly and Seb wanted to attend their cocktail hour at the 173 Carlyle House, so the Catholic gap gave us time for photos and time for them to be social!
Their wedding reception was beautiful and full of life! Steph and Vanessa with Fully Present Wedding Coordination kept the day and timeline flowing seamlessly. The team at the 173 Carlyle truly take great care of everyone on the wedding day. That Pittsburg Cookie Table was to die for! Kelly and Seb’s friends and family know how to have a good time. The dance floor was packed all night until the sparkler exit@
